Who we are

Altr. is a talent strategy and recruitment consultancy based in Christchurch, New Zealand. This policy explains how we collect, use and look after personal information when you use altrtalent.com or get in touch with us. We follow the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

What we collect

We only collect what you choose to give us:

• Contact form: your name, email, business name (optional), your message, and whether you asked for a Hiring Diagnosis.
• TalentBrew sign-up: your email and, if you add it, your first name.
• Emails and conversations: whatever you share with us, including a CV if you are a candidate.

We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels on this site. If we add website analytics in future, we will update this policy first.

How we use it

• To reply to your enquiry and provide our services.
• To send you TalentBrew, if you have signed up.
• To keep a record of our conversations and work together.

We never sell or rent your information, and we will not add you to TalentBrew unless you sign up yourself.

Candidates

If you share your CV or details with us as a candidate, we will only pass them to an employer with your permission.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of trusted providers to run our business: Netlify (website and forms), Kit (newsletter), Notion (records) and our email provider. Some of these store information outside New Zealand, including in the United States. We choose providers with appropriate security and privacy protections. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Only as long as we need it for the reason you gave it to us, or as long as the law requires. You can unsubscribe from TalentBrew at any time using the link in every email, and we will stop sending it straight away.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Email hello@altrtalent.com and we will respond within 20 working days.

If you are not happy with how we have handled your information, please talk to us first. You can also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.

We handle information from Australian clients and candidates in the same way, and you can contact us with any questions or concerns about it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
